Biba Dow and Alun Jones of Dow Jones Architects

Friday 23 July 2010, 7.00pm

A talk by Biba Dow and Alun Jones of Dow Jones Architects. Part of the Isle of Wight Architecture Centre public lecture series 2010.

Dow Jones Architects is an award winning practice based in London, with a reputation for producing well-crafted, conceptually clear architecture.

The work of Dow Jones is distinguished by a great originality and a particular attention to the cultural and physical qualities of places, to which the practice responds in a contemporary way. Since their formation in 2000, Dow Jones Architects have designed a wide-ranging body of work covering many aspects of the built environment for clients in the private, public, and commercial sectors, including the Greater London Authority and Design for London.

‘Dow Jones Architects is deeply attuned to the role of history in architecture and the importance that memory plays in our perceptions of place. This interest in cultural sedimentation means that when you look at a Dow Jones building you feel a deep sense of familiarity.’
