Riches Hawley Mikhail Architects Ltd is an RIBA award-winning practice with a growing reputation for imaginative housing design and environmental architecture. Established in 2005, it has won the prestigious Housing Design Awards for the past two years consecutively and has just completed its first major public housing project. The Clay Field scheme for 26 houses in Suffolk for Orwell Housing Association, completed in August 2008, is gaining recognition as an exemplar for both affordable housing and sustainable architecture, and has won an RIBA Award 2009.
The three practice partners have a shared commitment to a social and environmental design that is immaculately detailed. Current projects include new housing in Liverpool, London, Norfolk and Suffolk for Housing Associations and private developers. RHM were finalists for Young Architect of the Year 2007.
"What happens when three architects with their own successful, award-winning careers, come together? Supergroup or clash of the egos? The former, it seems, for David Mikhail, Cathy Hawley and Annalie Riches. RHM are garnering plaudits for their socially engaged and aesthetically pleasing housing for enlightened clients"
